Awesome - lets t(w) alk the talk

http://www.graphics99.com/whos-awesome-2/
First thing to say sorry I wasn't blogging for a long time - but : we changed our Business-Model completely, we grew form 3 to 15 People - I was busy - surviving.
you might realize, that I am writing in English / another indicator, that our business changed a little in the last year
This posts is initiated by my visit at the sustainabilitybrands conference about New Metrics for Sustainability in Boston * MA.

As a finance roots  person doing business now in this area I did really not understand the purpose of this conference.

Under the label "New Metrics" I was expecting new input for the challengers I am facing with my customers "Building a Business Case for Sustainability Actions and Investments"
To  bring the rest of you on the walk
But what I experienced was what we call in Germany "WischiWashi" ~  Sustainability Manager of leading companies were describing their grant success with their sustainability initiatives / wow that's new stuff wo would expect this surprise surprise

Well I have to admit it is a cultural thing : the German engineers brain always concentrate on things which do not work in a process  this is a little bit different from the "everything awesome" mentality at other continents.

I liked the comments from the Israeli guy from TC Center  who was basically saying lets start walking and stop talking : time is running out.

I agree : time is running out : some companies are doing really good in their sustainability  improvements  ~ but it is not enough ~  some people are still discussing about measurement standards ~ since years now ~ just a few are talking about improvement of numbers not only reporting ~ we have to change this ~ time is running out.

I also want to thank all those NGO  people which are dedicating their lives to a essential purpose / they are working their "ASS OFF" to save us all .

But sorry private owned businesses / I am convinced we do need a "stick" to convince you.
